Effective February 1, 2016 there will be permanent changes made to Ambulance drop offs/pickups and shuttle pickups/drop offs for shuttle services (MLB and Veterans Transportation Service [VTS]).  The current entrance to the Emergency Department (near parking deck L and the pedestrian bridge to VBA) will close on February 1, 2016.  Effective on this date, Ambulances will drop off patients using the North Entrance to the medical center, under the awning in front of Building B (near the current handicapped parking lot).  All other entrances and access points to the Emergency Department will be open for normal use. There will be signage throughout the medical center directing you from various entry points to the Emergency Department.  Printed maps with directional information will be provided at information desks.  There will be additional Ambassadors, Escorts and Police available to assist with directions as well.  This includes having a staff member at the Clairmont Road Information desk 24 hours per day.

In addition, the MLB and VTS shuttles will now drop off and pickup patients from the back of the building – patients will enter the facility via the atrium.  Specific information will be coordinated with your driver.  Thank you for your patience while we grow!
