E-Donate Is Simple, Speedy, Safe

E-Donate, a new online donation option at www.atlanta.va.gov provides community members who wish to give back to Veterans at a VA medical center a simple, safe way to pledge their support to the account of their choice.
“We’ve known for years that our citizens want to show their support to the service members who defended their freedoms,” said Atlanta VA Medical Center Director Ms. Leslie B. Wiggins. “While not everyone will have the time to volunteer, now anyone can take five minutes online to thank Veterans in any number of ways.”
The E-Donate option allows donors to select from a number of accounts at the medical center they wish to donate to. Additionally, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) administrative costs are appropriated, so donors can be sure 100 percent of their donations go to the accounts they select and the Veteran patients they are choosing to support.
“Donated money at our medical center goes to benefit Veterans for women Veterans, GPF 8884, and Vet Centers" said Ms. Derenda McCook. “People would be amazed if they could see how far their dollar goes toward making a difference in the lives of the people who dedicated themselves to us first.”
Donors can find the E-Donate button at the Volunter or Give page of the Atlanta VA Medical Center webpage. Donations can be made by credit or debit card. The actual donation is made through a secure site at the U.S. Department of Treasury’s www.pay.gov. A minimum of $5 is required for online donation.
