The very first step to starting the Atlanta VA Research credentialing process is to create an account at www.atlaref.org. Once your account has been created, a credentialing checklist will be created for you based on your answers to the registration questions. If you have any questions about how to answer the registration questions, please consult with your Principal Investigator first, then the Research Credentialing Officer if your PI also has questions. After you finish your registration you will have access to your credentialing checklist through your AREF account and you will receive a welcome email with a link to a zip file you can download which contains all of the materials and instructions you need to complete the requirements on your checklist.
