About the program
Our inpatient unit is dedicated to the support and care of veterans with potentially life-threatening illnesses as well as the support of the veteran's family. Our mission is to provide compassionate, holistic care to our veterans. We strive to lessen all forms of suffering, in a setting that assists our veterans to find a peace of mind, body and spirit.
A team of specialists, together with the veteran and his/her family, strives to ensure that the wishes of the veteran are achieved. The team consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, chaplains, a clinical psychologist as well as other specialty support services available within an acute care hospital. Each member of the team is committed to providing comfort and recognizing the dignity and value of each veteran while enabling him/her to live each day to the fullest.
